Evaluating an Ultrasonic Magnetostrictive Transducer with Conical Nickel Core: Performance and Application

In recent years, ultrasonic machining has been developing rapidly, and it is used in areas such as abrasive machining, cleaning, welding. this research, a magnetostrictive device with pure nickel conical core cone angle of 30° was constructed. The observed sound pressure level measure transducer performance. Also, the ability to reduce residual pesticide on cucumber surface due cavitation evaluated. results showed that from simulation by JMAG-Designer software almost same produced constructed transducer. To assess performance removing evaluate changes peel texture cucumber, gas chromatography (GC) scanning electron microscope (SEM) methods were used, respectively. GC 20 min treatment, removal based height chromatogram area 75% 83%, SEM increasing treatment time, stomatal pore reduced 144.74 \({\mathrm{\mu m}}^{2}\) (reference) 30.56 (20 treatment). These are promising; hence, further research suggested towards enhancing for commercial use biomaterials processing operations cleaning pesticides fruits vegetables.Graphical Abstract
